Rosewood House is a newly registered residential children’s home dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people aged between 8 and 17 years old. We are proud to accommodate three children at any given time, creating a small and intimate setting that allows for tailored support and meaningful relationships. Our home is designed to welcome both male and female residents, with the possibility of mixed-sex occupancy, always subject to thorough risk assessments to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.

Emergency Placements

We understand that circumstances can change rapidly, and sometimes children need immediate support. At Rosewood House, we will consider emergency placements when a child is assessed to pose a manageable risk and is likely to positively fit in with the existing residents. Once an emergency placement is agreed upon, each child or young person will receive the full support outlined in their care plan, alongside essential information to help them adjust. This includes our children’s guide, an allocated key worker, and clear expectations regarding behaviour. We believe that every child deserves a warm welcome and the same comprehensive information provided to all new arrivals at Rosewood House.

Modern Facilities

Rosewood House has been thoughtfully modernised to meet the needs of the children we care for. Our home spans two stories, featuring a range of facilities designed to promote comfort, safety, and well-being.

On the ground floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen where children can engage in cooking activities, fostering independence and life skills. The utility room ensures practical needs are met, helping to maintain a tidy living environment. The combined open plan lounge and dining room provides a welcoming space for relaxation, play, and communal meals, encouraging social interaction and bonding among residents. Additionally, the manager’s office ensures effective management and oversight of the home, while a communal toilet is accessible for all residents.

The first floor is designed for the children’s private space, featuring three individual bedrooms, each furnished to a high standard for comfort and privacy. A staff bedroom that doubles as an office ensures that staff are readily available for support and supervision, while a bathroom with modern facilities promotes hygiene and personal care for the children.

Outside, our property features a large back garden designed for exploration and play. This outdoor space includes a quiet area with an arbor, perfect for relaxation and reflection, alongside vegetable plots that encourage children to engage with nature and learn about growing food. For active play and physical exercise, there is a trampoline, and outdoor dining furniture allows for al fresco meals and gatherings in a safe environment.
